Founded in the 1970s in a 150 m² workshop, ÖNTAR today serves tens of thousands of farmers across Turkey and in 45 countries, with 70% of its production exported, from its modern manufacturing facility spanning 20,000 m² in total (15,000 m² enclosed and 5,000 m² open area) and a team of 150 dedicated professionals, including 20 engineers.

1973
The foundations of ÖNTAR were laid in 1973 in Konya as an approximately 150 m² workshop by our Chairman of the Board, Ercan ÖNAL, and his brothers. The company operated in its 600 m² workshop in Karatay Industrial Zone from 1989 until 1998.
1998
In 1998, the company relocated to its facility in Konya Büsan Organized Industrial Zone, covering a total area of 5,400 m² (4,000 m² enclosed and 1,400 m² open area).
2004
In 2004, through an agreement with Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Commodity Exchanges, 750 units of 600-liter winch-lift sprayers were distributed free of charge to farmers for suni bug pest control, introducing the domestic market to winch-lift sprayer technology.
2008
In 2008, through technology partnerships established with European manufacturers and suppliers, the company enriched its production range with tank capacities from 200 L to 6,000 L, boom widths from 6 m to 36 m, computer automation, GPS navigation, and advanced technological equipment, catering to professional farmers worldwide. In line with this vision, ÖNTAR engineered its first proprietary model, the Panter Plus, and introduced it into serial production.
2009
With the BUFER brand created in 2009, in addition to its manufactured sprayers, the company also contracted the production of other agricultural machinery and equipment under the BUFER trademark and began exporting to 45 countries.
2012
In 2012, ÖNTAR relocated its manufacturing operations to its facility in Konya 3rd Organized Industrial Zone, featuring 8,500 m² of enclosed space and 11,500 m² of open area.
Present
Since 2018, the company continues its manufacturing operations across a modern 20,000 m² facility, consisting of 15,000 m² enclosed and 5,000 m² open area.
